Drive Go Go
Drive Go Go is the gentlest game we make — no timer, no game over, nothing a child can do wrong. Most questions we get are about the tilt steering or about Pro, so those are first.

Purchases
Drive Go Go is free to download and free to play. All 180 word pairs are in the free game.
There is one optional purchase: Drive Go Go Pro, US$2.99, paid once. It unlocks the extra cars and road themes. It never expires and never renews.
The purchase screen sits behind a grown-up gate — a short maths question — so a child can't reach it on their own.
There are no ads and no subscriptions.
Restore a purchase
Purchases are tied to your Apple Account, not to your device. If you've changed phone, deleted and reinstalled the app, or set up a new device, restoring brings everything back at no extra cost.
- 1Open Drive Go Go and tap Grown-ups.
- 2Answer the maths question that keeps this area out of a child's reach.
- 3Tap Restore Purchases and wait a few seconds for the confirmation.
Restoring only works while signed in to the same Apple Account that made the original purchase. If nothing comes back, check which account is signed in under Settings → your name, then try again.
Common questions
The car won't steer, or it steers the wrong way.
Drive Go Go steers by tilt. Hold the device in landscape and flat, like a tray, then tilt gently — small movements are enough. If steering feels reversed, the device is probably upside down relative to how the run started; put it down flat, then pick it up and try again. Check that no accessibility display or motion setting is inverting the axis.
How do I switch between English words and hiragana?
Tap Grown-ups, pass the maths gate, then choose Word Language. The menus and buttons stay in English — only the puzzle words change. After every correct answer the game shows both languages together anyway, so a child playing in English still sees the hiragana.
My child can't read yet. Is the game still worth it?
Yes, and that's who it's built for. Every word carries an emoji hint of its meaning, there's no timer, and picking the wrong letter does nothing bad — the car just keeps driving and the word comes round again. Letter recognition comes before spelling.
What exactly does Drive Go Go Pro add?
Extra cars — each with its own power, like Magnet, Turbo, Bouncy and Hopper — and the additional road themes. No words, stages or learning content are held back behind it; the full 180 word pairs are in the free game.
Can I change the distance from metres to miles?
Yes. Grown-ups → units. Sound and the road theme are in the same place.
My child bought something by accident.
The purchase screen is behind a grown-up gate, so this is rare, but it can happen if a child watched you answer the gate. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. You can also turn off in-app purchases entirely under Settings → Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions.
If something goes wrong
- 1Close the app fully — swipe up from the bottom of the screen and flick the app away — then open it again.
- 2Restart the device. This clears up most graphics and audio problems on its own.
- 3Check the App Store for an update; we ship fixes there first.
- 4If the screen is black or the game won't start after an update, delete and reinstall. Purchases come back with Restore; stage progress is stored on the device and will be lost, so try the other steps first.
